The Tony Lujan Quintet was an incredible treat for jazz fans, especially Dizzy Gillespie fans.
Tony and I went to college together and played in the jazz combos and big bands at New Mexico State University. Since then, Tony has become the premier bebop trumpeter in the style of Dizzy and well-known in jazz circles internationally.
This caliber of performance is unusual for Cape Cod and I'm proud that we were able to bring it to you.
